0:44 Almost all great companies have products that start this way. Think about the

0:47 ones in your own life.

0:48 The products that are so good that you spontaneous to tell your friends about

0:51 them. The products that are so good that if they went away you would write the

0:55 That's what it means to really love a product. A good indicator of that is

0:58 retention and frequency of use.

0:59 So if you have in fact I think this is so important that you actually shouldn't

1:04 track absolute growth in number of users in the early days of a startup.

1:08 You should just track how often they're using it. And we'll have a session on

1:11 metrics later but you really want to get good at analyzing your metrics and

1:14 saying is this a user that I'm retaining and it's using it frequently.

1:16 How do I compare to other products in my space? That's a good early indicator

1:20 of users that love you.

1:21 Better still is them spontaneously telling their friends to buy your product.

1:24 But the important point here is this.

1:27 Nothing but a great product will save you. We're going to talk about a lot of

1:29 other things in this course and they all matter.

1:31 But if you don't get this one right, if you don't make a great product, the

1:34 thing is still not going to work.
